
Mark F. Lawrence, DPM
After completing his Bachelor of Science in biochemistry at the University of New Hampshire, Mark F. Lawrence, DPM, went on to earn his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree, Magna Cum Laude, from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago.
Dr. Lawrence completed his Podiatric Surgical Residency program at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester as well as a combined 6-month Fellowship in Podiatric Surgery and Diabetic Foot Care at the Carney Hospital and New England Deaconess Hospital. He has been Board certified in Foot Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery since 1996.
Dr. Lawrence is an active staff member at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. He is also the past Chief of Podiatry in Carney Hospital’s Department of Orthopedics and past Residency Director for the Carney Podiatric Surgical Residency Program.
In 1995, Dr. Lawrence, together with recently retired Dr. Gary Count, formed Scituate Podiatry Group Inc.

Rebecca E. Southard, DPM
Rebecca E. Southard, DPM, originally obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Smith College. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco and completed a podiatric medicine and surgery residency program at Carney Hospital in Boston.
Throughout her career, Dr. Southard has dedicated herself to providing care working in private practices within Boston and the South Shore. She is also a member of the medical staff at Carney Hospital.
Dr. Southard joined the Scituate Podiatry Group practice soon after it’s creation back in 1995.
